When Haley first found me she was living in London while her fiance was back in Texas. It was also January 2017 and the wedding was July 2018! Another fun fact was I was 9 months pregnant when they hired me and my baby was 18 months old at their wedding. It is crazy how fast time flew during their planning process!

The Process: Haley and Andrew hired me for full planning since they were having a destination wedding here in San Diego. It started 18 months prior to the wedding day so we had plenty of time to get things in place. It was my responsibility to find them the perfect venue to host their wedding guests who would all be flying in to enjoy the weekend. Once we picked the perfect location it was all about finding the perfect vendor team as well starting with a must have, dueling pianos! It may sound like planning from afar is hard, but i assure you I make it as easy as possible. When they did fly in we did all the planning meetings at the venue, florist and cake baker in one weekend. I also had them ship me all items for the wedding prior so they did not have to worry about carry ons or packing luggage. The wedding weekend itself turned out perfectly and guests had the best weekend ever!

The Challenges: The biggest challenge was in the beginning of the planning process, finding them the perfect venue. We needed to find them something that would appeal to the couple, the bride's parents and also something their guests would love. We looked into around 20 properties before narrowing down to five for them to see when they came into town. They ended up choosing Tom Ham's Lighthouse.

Unique Elements: One of the most beautiful features of the wedding was their ceremony arch that they had covered with fabric and lots of greenery and flowers. The most entertaining was the music. The Killer Dueling Pianos rocked the night away and to top it off the bride's father got in there with his guitar to play a song or two!
